‘DIY & Hair Dye’ was initially created as a Myspace group and forum in 2007. This began as a small project of gathering various hair-themed Photobucket accounts and putting them together in one place. This group soon transformed into a forum, blog, and information page on how-to videos, products, etc.

In just two years, DIY & Hair Dye had amassed over 12,000 members. The group was moved onto its own Myspace page, and the following year was given its own Facebook (at the request of its members). And then, of course, came the DIY & Hair Dye Tumblr.

Now that Myspace is not so widely used, an official DIY & Hair Dye website may be underway…

Some people just have a thing for hair.
